    • 1) How do I insert “stuff” on my page?
To insert “stuff” you need to be working in the “Page Editor Tab”. By default, Webation Active displays the “Page Editor” when you first login. Under the “Element Actions” icon group select the “Add Content Element” button icon. This presents you with a number of “Content Elements” in a dropdown menu. Hover your mouse over each of them to view a brief description of what the Content Element is.

      2) How do I insert text?
Select the “Add Content Element” icon button and choose the second icon button from the drop-down menu. Enter and format text in the text editor and when you are finished click submit. To edit the text again, select it so that it has a dashed border around it, and click the “Edit Content Element” button, located next to the add Content Element icon button.
Note: When using Firefox, the first time the text editor is opened, the buttons may display incorrectly. To fix this, press cancel and try again, it will now display correctly.

      3) Why can I only choose from five fonts for body text?
Because of the nature of the internet, you have to choose a font that you know every other computer will have. Otherwise, your text will not look the same to everyone.
You can display other fonts in Headings by using the “Title Text” Content Element. This will use the fonts on your computer to create a heading using a special font.

      4) How do I insert images?
Select Add Content Element and choose the fourth Icon Button – “Image”. Select and Image from your computer by clicking browse. There are a number of options available here, but the most important is the “Resize” percentage. The Percentage is the relation to the width of the content area of your website, so a setting of 50% would resize the image to 50% of the width of your content area.

      5) How do I create a photo gallery?
Select Add Content Element and choose the fourth Icon Button – “Picture Gallery”. You can either add each image individually by clicking add image, or you can upload a “zip” folder, which is great if you have a number of images.

      6) How do I get a calendar on my site?
Select Add Content Element and choose the 11th Icon Button – “Date List”. To make a calendar, set the List Type to “Calendar” then click submit. Click “Add List Item” to begin filling your Calendar with events and dates.

      7) How do I put columns on my page?
There are no automatic way to make columns, but it can be done easily with tables. In the “Layout Tool” Icon Group, click the “Insert Table” button once and use the drop down menu to choose the number of cells in your table. In this case, because we want to create columns, create a 1 x 2 table. You can drag and drop your content elements into the table to create two columns of content.
If you would like to change the widths of each column, select the arrow at the base of the column. Once the column is selected, change the Percentage in the layout tools icon group and then press the Tab key.

      8) How do I make text wrap around an image?
There is no automatic way to make text wrap around other content elements. However, text wrap can be easily replicated by using tables to layout the text around the image.

      9) How do I link to a PDF? (or any other file)
A common way to link to a PDF is by using a Text Content Element. Inside the Text Editor, select the text that you want to create the link from, then click the Link Icon, 3rd  icon from the left. Set the Link Type as “File Download” and browse your computer for the PDF. Click Insert Link. You can use this method to link to any kind of file, not just PDF’s
